Colorado trip

For Spring Break we took a trip to Colorado. My Brother in law had basketball tickets to the NCAA tournament and invited Kyle to come out to go to the games. We decided to make a family vacation out of it. The day we got there, we went up to Fort Collins to visit Kyle's sister Meredith, her husband Beau, and their cute baby Afton. They took us to "Fort Fun" a family fun center with go carts, and arcade games. The kids had a great time. Even mom got to drive the go carts! (thanks for watching Bella Meredith) We stayed at their house and then got up the next morning and headed to my sister Lindsay's house in Littleton so Kyle and the boys could go watch some basketball! Lindsay and I weren't about to let our husband's and brother Jeff have all the fun! We took the kids and did some fun things. We went to the Children's Museum in Denver where the kids had a blast. Then the next day, we talked the guys into going to the Denver zoo with us since there were no basketball games that day. We had a good time there, even though at the end of the day, Hailee and I were seperated from everyone and my cell phone was dead so I couldn't call anyone. Needless to say, 1 hour later Kyle was not too happy with me! But thanks to my brother in law Mike, the ride home wasn't too painful!! We also were able to celebrate Hailee's 8th birthday. Thanks Lindsay and Mike for an awesome party! Hailee and I even got to go to a pottery place and paint. We made a family tree plate. It was so much fun to spend time with her alone. That doesn't happen very often. Thank you Linds for watching all the kids! Then we did all the "fun" Easter stuff. Lindsay also took us to the Columbine Memorial that just opened this past September. It was really weird to actually be at the school after seeing it on t.v. and remembering that day almost 9 years ago. So sad.
We had a great trip. Thank you to Meredith and Beau and Mike and Lindsay for your hospitality and for showing us such a wonderful time!!

Happy Birthday Bella!

Yesterday was Bella's 1st birthday. We had a little party for her. She wasn't too sure what to think about the cake, but once her brothers and sister and friends showed her what to do, she was all over it! She had fun opening her presents, and did a good job unwrapping them by herself. I can't believe she is already one! Where did the year go? She is the sweetest little thing, and we love her to pieces! Happy Birthday Bella! We love you!

I've been tagged again!
Grown Up Tag RULES OF THE GAME:Each player answers the following question. After answering all the questions, the player tags 4 people and posts their names, then goes to their blog and leaves a comment letting them know they are tagged!

1) 10 years ago I was: Having a great time in college at SUU. Kyle and I had just gotten engaged, so I'm sure I was making lot's of wedding plans!
2) 5 things on my list to do today: Take Bella to the doctor again (it's been a long week), work on my sharing time for primary on Sunday, watch American Idol, go to Bunco, take Hailee to gymnastics.
3) Things I would do if I became a Billionaire: I would obviously invest and put a bunch into savings, start college funds for the kids, give some to our families, pay off all debt, go on an awesome vacation, and take all our friends with us, shop, shop, shop, and definitely give to those who are in need. I've always thought it would be so awesome to just be able to give to people who need it.
4) 3 bad habits: picking at my split ends, not being able to put a book down once I've started it (although it is taking me forever to read Twighlight), Kyle says I grind my teeth all night long in my sleep so I guess that's a bad habit, although I have no idea I'm doing it.
5) 5 places I've lived: Lake Arrowhead, Ca., Provo,UT., Cedar City, Ut., Las Vegas, Logandale
6) 5 jobs I've had: Wherehouse Music, Ice Skating training center, Concierge desk at a hotel, telemarketer (I think everyone who has ever gone to SUU did that), and a substitute teacher.
7) Pet Peeves: Cocky people who think they are better than everyone, being late, when people say "Whatev", having a messy house, when my kids whine about what we are eating EVERY night at dinner, and definitely flaky people!
8) 5 Things People Don't Know About Me: If my house isn't clean, I am so cranky! I feel like I can't function (OCD?), I have always wanted to live back east, I do not particularly enjoy cooking. I do it because I have to, not because I like to. (I think it's just because I have kids at my feet in the kitchen crying or needing something, so it takes forever to cook dinner. Maybe when they are older, I'll enjoy it more), My favorite memories of Lake Arrowhead were snow days, when the world seemed to stop, My dad was my driver's ed teacher in high school (you can blame him for my driving.)
