American Idol!

For the American Idol finale, Hailee wanted to have a party so bad! So my good friend Lisa was kind enough to host it at her house last minute. Hailee was so excited! Even though the girls only lasted about an hour before there were meltdowns, (they were all so tired) it was still fun. We went home and finished watching it, and let's just say we had one mad girl on our hands when David Cook won! Hailee seriously voted for Archuleta at least 15 times the night before. It was funny because I went into Hailee's classroom to help the next day, and most of the kids were draggin. They were all tired from watching American Idol the night before!

Hailee made this t-shirt for the party

The girls before the meltdowns

Again, before meltdowns. I should've taken before and after pictures!

Memorial weekend

For Memorial Day weekend, we went to Panaca. Kyle wanted to visit his grandma Jones who is in a care center, and put flowers on his grandma Heiselbetz's grave. All of Kyle's family was there except for one sister. The kids had so much fun with their cousins. Here are some pics. of the weekend. These boys have so much fun together! L to R Mason, Austin, Carson, Jakob

Another year and cousin Dallin will be able to hold his own with these boys!

I think Grandma Heiselbetz would have thought these boys were so funny!

Happy Birthday Kyle!

Today is Kyle's 33rd birthday. So I decided to tell him and you 33 reasons why I love him. Here goes....
1.He is the hardest worker I know. I never worry about him putting food on the table. I feel secure and know he will always take care of us.
2.He always makes it to every event the kids are involved in. Dance recitals, soccer games, events at school, etc.
3.He is an awesome cook. He's so much better than me! My brothers call up sometimes on the weekends just to see if Kyle's cooking anything good. If he is, they will drive 2 hrs. just to eat with us!
4.He loves to pull pranks on people.
5.He goes all out for everything. If we have a party or get together, he likes to make everything nice.
6.He makes friends so easily. He has the widest variety of friends of anyone I know.
7.He doesn't watch an excessive amount of sports on t.v. (thank you!)
8.He is a redneck at heart
9.He is good at everything he does
10.He is a very loyal friend
11.He is so good with elderly people. I think it has a lot to do with growing up right next to both of his Grandmothers. It even says in his Patriarchal Blessing to "help watch over your grandparents and those who are older and honor the older people and help them in any way you can." He does a great job with doing this. He even used to go play Bingo with my Grandpa in the home he lived in, and one time he got yelled at by all the old people for winning a whole quarter!
12.He spends time with his kids. They love him for that
13.He thinks he's the "Italian Stallion" (when we were in college,as a joke, he would get on LDS singles website and would write in his profile that he was the "Italian Stallion" Needless to say he got many responses!
14.He has beautiful blue eyes
15.He likes to shop. He is Hailee's favorite shopping buddy.
16.He has a great sense of style (must be the two years he spent in Italy)
17.He takes the kids on rhino rides to give me a break
18.He has great sense of direction. Good thing because I have no sense of direction!I'm surprised he hasn't bought me a GPS yet.
19.He bought me a pair of Nike shoes when he barely knew me to win my heart (although I wasn't sure if he was trying to hint to me that I needed to start running)
20.He is very creative with giving me gifts. I've never recieved anything weird from him (except maybe the nikes)
21.He has a lot of confidence.
22.He likes to make up stories about how tough he was when he was a little boy. He tells Carson and Austin that he's fought coyotes, bears, etc. He was even bit by a snake and then he bit it's head off! Must be a man thing! The boys think he's so cool!
23.He buys really random movies (Anaconda 2, Kyle?)
24.He can't even make it through the movies he buys because he always falls asleep.
25.He stopped on the side of the road to help 3 Polygamist women with a flat tire. They were on they're way to Texas to support their fellow "sisters." Kyle told them how sorry he was for them and how he thought it was just awful. (Hopefully they didn't catch the sarcasm in his voice)
26.He get's himself into the most random situations all the time. (see #25)
27.When he was in highschool, he called into the radio station and dedicated 2 Princess by the Spin Doctors to all the "ladies in Panaca" He will never live that one down!
28.He wants me to get a perm. I can't tell him enough how perms are not in style anymore! Will someone help me out on this one?
29.When we were dating, he hitch hiked from Provo to Cedar because he was so poor just to see me. What were you thinking, Kyle?
30.He treats my family like his own. He will never know how much I appreciate that.
31.He loves to do things spur of the moment. I used to be a planner, but being married to him has changed that!
32.He is always willing to serve people. He's constantly helping someone.
33.Last but not least....He was named the Godfather of the annual "Muddy to the Meadow" Rhino club!
Kyle, we love you. Happy Birthday!

Crazy April

March and April were such busy months for us! First,Hailee was baptized. It was a great experience and I'm so proud of her for making that decision. That same weekend, our niece Hannah was blessed,so we went to Vegas for that. The following weekend my nephew was blessed and all of my siblings were here for it. Mike and Lindsay came down to St. George to bless Maddox, so that we all wouldn't have to go to Colorado. It was so much fun to be with my brothers and sisters. We don't all get together very often, so the times we do are great. Then we had the annual Clark County Fair, which is in our home town, so pretty much everyone here is involved. My in-laws have a spot at the fair where they sell food. So most the family is involved in helping with that the whole weekend. I volunteered to watch all the kids. I figure I'm no help since I have four young kids! Then we had the annual "Muddy to the Meadow" rhino/4-wheeler run that Kyle put together. That's it's own post in itself. I'll post pics. of that later. We had company every weekend in April. It was a little crazy but fun

My sisters and sister in laws. I love these girls!

My brothers and sisters. The guys looked thrilled to be there!

Austin has this thing with tattoos. He loves them! Hopefully this is the closest he'll ever get to one!

Computer Crashed

For those of you who are sick of clicking on our blog and seeing the "Colorado Trip" still, and no new posts, I am sorry! Our computer crashed!!! What a huge pain! You don't realize how much you rely on your computer until it's gone. Kyle took it into the "Geek Squad" and they were able to save everything. Thank goodness! I was so worried about all of our pics. Of course I didn't have any of them copied onto disks or anything, so we would have lost everything. Needless to say, I am definitely putting all of our pics on cd's for backup. Anyways, we had to buy a new computer so Kyle just bought us a laptop. We just don't have our wireless internet hooked up yet,(I am posting this from Kyle's work lap top) so I can't get on the internet to post pics from our computer yet. I have so many things to post once I get my computer situation all figured out. So untilthen, you're just gonna have to look at pics of our trip to Colorado!
