Happy Birthday Carson!!

Carson's birthday is tomarrow. I can't believe he is already 6! We had a birthday party today for him with 12 wild boys! It was successful and it's over! That's the best part! He went with the army theme. So when everyone showed up, we gave them an army helmet, and painted their faces. Then they decorated paper jets that uncle Adam made (thanks Adam). After that, we went outside and had a contest to see who could fly their jet the farthest. Then we had a water grenade toss. They were water balloons that looked like grenades. Carson got a lot of great presents, and had a fun day. When I tucked him into bed tonight, he said "This was the best birthday ever. Thank you, mom!' I just love this kid! Here are pics of the event

We had a dance contest. The boys were so funny!

Easily Entertained!

With it being soooo hot outside, the kids get a little couped up in the house during the day. We don't venture outside until about 7:00 at night. By then it's still hot out, but at least the sun isn't beating down on you. Anyways, the kids were having a bit of cabin fever today, so I told them they could go outside and play in the sprinklers. I went out to check on them, and they had this little game set up. I saw Hailee sitting in a lawn chair, and the others were standing around her with a big bowl of water. They were all yelling "dunk me if you can!" Then they poured the bowl of water over her head. I asked what they were playing, and they said they wish we had a dunking tank, so they were making their own. Whatever works for them!!
Bella had to get in on the action!
She loved getting soaked!

Fun in the sun!

After we came back from Park City, the kids and I took off to Arizona to my mom and dad's house. They retired a year ago and moved from beautiful Lake Arrowhead, to the hot desert. When they built their home, they wanted to make it a grandkid friendly house, and that they did! They have a pool, air hockey, wii, wave runners, and lot's of fun toys! We had so much fun there. We swam, played with cousins, Grandma helped Hailee make a Hannah Montana blanket, and we went to a water park. Kyle talked about flying down there and meeting us all week long, but when Friday came around, he told me he wasn't going to. So I packed up all of our stuff and was ready to go home the next morning. Well, Friday night, we had been texting, and he told me he was on his way to the store to get something for dinner. Then at 11:30 that night, the doorbell rang. I was freaked out! My mom and dad had left for Colorado so it was just me and the kids at their house. I wasn't about to open the door. Then my cell phone rang and it was Kyle. He said "What, are you afraid to answer the door?" Ahhh...I could've killed him, but I was excited he was there! We got to stay and extra day, and had a ton of fun with dad! Oh and by the way, I do realize the date on the pics. says 2003! Someone must have messed with the camera!

Fourth of July

For the fourth of July we went up to Park City. Kyle's mom and dad rented a cabin (which turned out to be a mansion, not a cabin!) It was a beautiful 9,000 sq. ft. home which was perfect for the number of people we had. There was a home theatre, pool table, a little playhouse for the kids, and a hot tub. So there was plenty to do to keep us occupied. One of the days we went to Lagoon. The kids had a great time riding on rides with their cousins. We also went on a rhino ride and found some awesome trails. The scenery was so pretty. I felt like we were on the Sound of Music! Everything was so green!! I appreciate green after living here in the desert! The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins.

Kyle and Carson got drenched on the water slide!

Bella was happy as long as she had an icee!
