Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

On Saturday night, Kyle took the boys to a race in Vegas, so that left us girls home alone! Hailee and I contemplated over all the things that we could do without the boys! We could go to a movie, bowling, go out to eat, go shopping, etc. But since we still had Bella, we probably needed to get a babysitter for her if we were going to enjoy ourselves. Bella is a little pill right now (if you've sat behind us at church you know what I'm talking about) It was a little too late to find a babysitter, so we decided to stay home. But that didn't stop us from having a fun girls night out! Hailee invited her best friend Bailey over and we made pizzas, ate junk food, played games, and watched a movie. Hailee and Bailey have been friends since before they could walk! She is such a good girl and a great example to Hailee. She has this way of calming Hailee down when she get's dramatic about things! They are like sisters. I remember when they were about 3 yrs. old, Bailey broke her arm. Hailee was there when it happened. Later that night, Hailee heard me telling Kyle that Bailey broke her arm and she was getting a cast. Hailee disappeared into her room for a while and came out sobbing. She said "Did Bailey die?" When I said cast, she thought I meant casket! Poor girl. It was so sad. So to convince her that Bailey was ok, Kyle had to take Hailee to her house so she could see her. I just love these girls! Here are some pictures of the two of them growing up.
Poor Carson! They used to treat him like he was their baby doll

Princesses!

At our house in Vegas right before we all moved to Logandale

They showed up in the same outfit on the first day of school for 2nd grade! It was hilarious!

Bella's first day of school....oh wait, she's only 1!

Today, I walked Carson and his cute little friend Sawyer to the bus stop. I told Carson to grab his backpack, and get his shoes on. So what do you think Bella does? She goes and puts a pair of Hailee's flip flops on, and grabs a princess backpack that she insists on wearing throughout the day. She walked with us to the bus stop with the back pack on the whole way. It was so funny, so I hurried and grabbed the camera. This little lady thinks she is 5! She was fine walking back home, until she heard the bus leave. Then she realized she wasn't getting on it and had a complete melt down! Poor girl...Do you think they will make an exception for a one year old?

So excited for school! (so she thinks)

Off she goes!

She hasn't realized the bus is going to leave her yet!

Think she get's the picture now? Poor thing

Oops...I almost forgot!

This morning we were going about our crazy morning routine just like any other day...(do you ever feel like you are a circus act?) I woke up at about 5:15 because Kyle couldn't find his work boots (we never did find them), then I didn't want to go back to sleep because I was babysitting for a friend and the kids were getting dropped off at 6:15. So I showered and got ready for the day. (I should have exercised after eating so much junk this past weekend, but I was feeling lazy.) By 6:00 Hailee and Carson were both awake. Then the two kids I was watching came. By 6:15 this house was buzzing with chaos. Luckily Austin and Bella were both sleeping in. I made all the kids pancakes, curled Hailee's hair, made her lunch, wrote a note explaining why she was absent on Friday, greeted all the neighbor kids who like to come over before getting on the bus, and got Hailee, one of the kids I was babysitting, and all Hailee's friends off to school! Whew! Then I fed Bella and Austin, and was giving Bella a bath when it hit me....I think today is Austin's first day of preschool! Crap! I know what your thinking...it's just preschool...no big deal. But for those of you who know Austin, today is a monumental day for me! So I hurried and called my friend who is the teacher, and sure enough today was the day. I'm just glad I thought of it because I'm watching her baby as a trade off for preschool. So, I hurried and got Austin ready, took some pics. and off he went! Of course the truck was out of gas, so we had to stop at Wally's which only made us more late! But it was all good, and Austin was really excited to go. Carson was invited to a friends house before he went to school, so I only have one of my own kids here right now(Bella), along with my friends baby, the girl I'm watching for the whole day, and then two neighbor kids that just knocked on the door wanting to play (how'd that happen?) This house is alway swarming with kids, but that's the way I like it. It makes life more fun. Anyways, something kinda funny....as I was writing this, I was listening to the news, and the channel automatically changed to some Cardio Workout show. I got the remote to see what was going on and someone set that show up to be recorded daily at this time. I never have the t.v. on right now, so I never noticed it before. Hmmmm....Hailee? Is that a hint? Well, now I have 5 shows of Cardio Workout recorded! Thanks Hailee!

Carson took this picture for us!

Excited to go to school!

He was mad at me here because some of his friends were standing there, and I was insisting on taking his picture. He was a little embarrassed!

Camping in Utah

Over Labor Day weekend, we went camping up in Utah to get out of the heat! Since we sold our travel trailer, Kyle's parents were nice enough to let us borrow theirs. We met some friends up there and the kids all had a great time. We took the Rhino and went on some great rides, went swimming and froze our tails off, went to a little Wildlife Museum where the kids got to feed deer, played games, and ate lot's of food! Camping is so much work, but the kids love it. I just kept telling myself "we're making memories for them!"

Silly Kids!
