Another Flashback Friday

We used to have a neighbor that just loved my kids. She only had one of her own and he was a teenager, so she was always letting my kids borrow toys that had been her son's when he was little. One day, she came outside while my kids were playing, with this cougar costume. It was a hit with Carson. He wouldn't take it off! He loved it! It was a sad day for Carson when he had to return it because she was moving.

Hailee's first meet

For the past year, Hailee has been on a competetive gymnastics team. She goes 4 days a week for three hours at a time. It's a lot of work and dedication, but she loves it. She has never once said she didn't feel like going to gym. This past weekend, she had her first meet. It was called the Lady Luck and was held at the Southpoint Hotel and Casino. It was huge!!! They said about 1200 girls were registered. Girls from all over the country were there. It was an awesome experience for Hailee. Kyle and I were so proud of her. She did so awesome! She got out there, and smiled at the judges and did awesome on her routines. I wasn't able to get any pictures of her during the meet, because there is no flash photography allowed. But here are some pictures we took beforehand.

The Happiest Place On Earth!

We just got back from an awesome family vacation. We went to Ca. and stayed at the California Grand Hotel, which is in Downtown Disney. We had 3 day hopper passes and I would say we definitely got our moneys worth! The best part about staying in a hotel right there in the park was that we could go back and rest for a couple hours each day. The boys were tall enough to go on all the big kid rides, and Bella was able to go on quite a few rides. There was nobody there, so we were able to walk onto all the rides. We only had to wait in line a few times. We also ate at Goofy's Kitchen which is in the Disneyland Hotel. It's a fun place for the kids, and there are lot's of characters that come to your table. We had such a blast! The only bummer was, that on the very first day, the battery to my camera died and I forgot my charger. Aaahhh. I was so mad. Luckily, we had some friends go with us, and they took a bunch of pictures for us. But for now, here are some of the pictures I have....

The boys had no idea who this was!
Bella wasn't sure what to think about Goofy

Cruella De Vil was very scary, and she scared the heck out of Austin.
She jumped at him and he cried for a couple minutes.

Take your kid to work day

Austin is always following Kyle around the house while he's working on projects. He loves to work. So the other night, he asked me if he could go to work with daddy the next day. I told him to go ask his dad. Dad said yes, but warned Austin that they would be leaving really early. Kyle usually leaves for work around 5. Austin was so pumped! He layed out all of his clothes and was filling a backpack with things for the next day. He couldn't stop talking about it all night. He told me he had to go to bed when Kyle did, and he insisted on sleeping with Kyle that night. I think he was afraid he would get left behind. Bright and early the next morning, I heard Kyle and Austin getting ready for work. It was cute. Austin was asking all kinds of questions. So they left, and Austin had a fun day! I haven't seen him that happy in a long time. I think everyday should be "take Austin to work day!" He told us all about it the rest of the night. Thanks for taking him to work dad!
