This is kinda a long story, but it is definitely one that I need to record. When I am pregnant, I have gallbladder problems. I am in a lot of pain from 5 months until I have the baby. So, after I had Carson, I was determined to never go through that pain again. I went to a specialist, and he wanted to take my galbladder out. So the day of the surgery, my friend Kim was babysitting Hailee for us. We took Carson with us. Before surgery, they did all the pre op procedures which included a urine sample. So I'm laying on the table ready to be rolled into surgery, and the nurse comes in with a smirk on her face. Kyle had Carson sitting on his lap. The nurse says to us "How old is your baby?" I tell her Carson is 9 months. She says "well, you won't be getting surgery today....you're pregnant!" What the.......Oh my goodness! The look on Kyle's face was priceless. I thought he was going to faint. I couldn't do anything but laugh. The nurses all got a kick out of it and were cracking up. The doctor came in laughing too! He told me he'll see me in about a year! So, I got dressed, and off we went. The worst part about it was that we had payed like $200.00 ahead of time for the procedure, and we didn't get it back! We call it the $200.00 pregnancy test! We went to pick Hailee up and were in complete shock. I remember my friend Kim opening the door, saying "that was fast!" When I told her why, she didn't know what to say to console me. Anyways, Kyle was about to have a nervous breakdown! So he dropped us off at home , went and rented a tent trailer and wanted to get the heck out of dodge. So we went camping at The Zion River Resort, a place we still love to go to today. I remember the whole trip being a complete fog. I just kept wondering how the heck I was going to have 3 kids under the age of 3! Well, we obviously made it through, although I have to admit, the two years after having Austin is a complete fog to me. I hardly remember any of it! Good thing we have cameras! I never did get my gallbladder taken out! Here are some pictures of us camping right after we found out....
Bella has a problem....she's infatuated with Disney channels Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cartoon. She is addicted. So much that it has interrupted my sleep at night. Here's the thing....she will wake up in the middle of the night, and yell out "Mom" in her very best obnoxious voice until I come into her room. She's wide awake, and says "Mickey house." Which means that she wants to watch it (I have it recorded). She will scream and scream if I tell her no, so I give in or else everyone in the house will wake up. Not only do we have to go downstairs to watch it, but she has to bring all her blankets in her bed, a barbie doll, and anything else she sees along the way. The first time it happened, I thought "ok, she will maybe watch 10 minutes of it and fall asleep." But NOOOO, she not only has to watch it once, but she wants to watch it over and over, usually staying up for about 2 hours. I am not kidding! It's the weirdest thing. It's almost like she dreams about it, and then wakes up and wants to watch it. This has happened a number of times. As a matter of fact, it happened last night! It's almost becoming comical, but I am so tired the next day! Last night, or should I say this morning, she woke up at 3:00 and didn't fall asleep until 5:00! Ya, that's all fine and dandy for her, because she not only get's one on one time with mommy, but she can sleep whenever she wants the next day! But what about poor mom!? I think it's a conspiracy she has against me. She's punishing me for something! As if waking up with her to watch this silly show doesn't cause me enough pain, the next couple of hours that I am able to go back to sleep is usually a very restless sleep because I have the dumb song in my head!! What am I going to do with her? It's a good thing she's so dang cute. Look, I even took pictures of her at 3 in the morning. By the way, if you get a comment on your blog from me and the time says like 2 A.M. just know I was up watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with Bella! Good times!
"It's the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse"...la la la
She's so chipper the next day! Oh wait, she got to sleep in!
Kyle enjoys sports, wrestling with his boys, playing golf, country music, going for rides on his rhino, good authentic Italian food, wants to go back to Italy someday, and is an awesome cook! He is a fun involved dad, who loves his kids. He is a BYU football fan, but when it comes to basketball, go Rebels! He is the hardest worker I know, and is good at everything he does. Gerilyn loves being a mom, the smell of clean kids, memories of Lake Arrowhead, rainy days, happy people, a clean house, throwing parties for my kids, vacations, the beach, the sound of my kids laughter, vacations with my mom, sisters, and sister in laws.
Hailee is a fun girl who loves anything pink, likes to shop and is very good at it too, is a big tease like her dad, likes school, is always concerned about other people. She is into gymnastics, and is on a competitive team. She works so hard in the gym and someday wants to be a college gymnast.
Carson is 7yrs. old. He is one of the funniest boys I know! He loves to watch movies and can recite lines from them word for word. He has the best laugh ever! He is a very sensitive kid and when I tuck him in at night, he tells me he loves me to heaven and back. He loves to play basketball, soccer, baseball, and flag football. He is such a likeable kid and has tons of friends.
Austin is a 6 year old pistol! He is a crazy kid! He loves teasing his big brother, being with his daddy, capri suns (he could drink a whole box in 1 day), is very picky about his hair, likes to watch people, and loves to wrestle. He is a tough kid and reminds me of his dad. One of his favorite pastimes is to follow Hailee and her friends around and drive them crazy!! He always has to be doing something and staying busy or he goes crazy. He asks a lot of questions and is always observing and thinking.
Kyle gave Bella her name. It's actually Isabella, but we call her Bella. It means beautiful in Italian. We think the name fits! She is 3 and a stinker!! She tries to keep up with her brothers and sister and does a pretty dang good job at it! She is super independent, and as her uncle put's it, she just raises herself! She loves Disney Princesses, and anything girlie. We love this little girl and couldn't imagine our family without her!
