This is how we roll

This past weekend was our 11th anniversary so we decided to take a little trip to Ca. to hit a couple of Dodger games. The first night we had a great time. Kyle was like a little kid in a candy store. He was so excited to be there. We met my brother Jeff and his wife Kristie and my brother Adam there at the game. The game was great, and there was an awesome firework show/tribute to Michael Jackson afterwards. It was so much fun....until we went to our hotel. We were staying at a Marriot in Torrence. When we showed up, we saw a huge biker gang there. Ok, no big deal. They'll be fine, right? Wrong!! At about 1 in the morning, they started partying right outside our window. Bumpin their rap music, drinking, burning rubber in the parking lot with their Harley's, and being so obnoxious. After calling the front desk twice, and nothing changing, we packed up our stuff and checked out. We were so irritated! It was about 2 in the morning when we found ourselves driving down the PCH trying to find a place to stay. I think I laughed the whole way. We ended up all the way by Huntington Beach in front of a Hyatt. Kyle called them to see if they had any rooms available, and they said they only had one room left, and it was the Presidential Suite. Hmmm....how much is that gonna set us back? The guy gave it to us for less than $200. Normally it goes for $5,000! Can we say sweet deal? We checked in, and I'm not kidding, the place was like 3,000 sf. and so nice! We were in heaven! We finally got to sleep at about 3 in the morning, and had to check out by noon the next day. Bummer. But it was fun while it lasted!! Go Dodgers!

Kyle has never been to Venice Beach, and I knew he would definitely appreciate the experience!
So we met up with my bro Adam to kill some time before the game. Let me just say that if you think you have a dysfunctional life, go to Venice Beach! You will feel so much better about yourself! It's a freak show! We had a good time laughing and in awe of how people live! Anything goes there! But after a while, I was done! I had a headache from all the incense and who knows what else! So off to the game we went. We had a fun weekend. Thank you Jessica and Wade for watching the kiddos for us! We really appreciate it!

Go For The Gold!

This past weekend we went up to Cedar City for the Utah Summer Games for Hailee to compete in. She did so awesome!!! She won the gold medal on bars with a 9.2 and gold medal on vault with a 9.3. Her bar routine was gorgeous! I was so proud of her! Unfortunately, she fell off the beam which cost her a whole point. The beam is such a mental event. If one girl on the team falls off, it seems like the rest of the girls after that all fall too, which is exactly what happened. Stinkin beam! Her floor routine was also very pretty, but unfortunately there were a few mistakes. Next time, Hailee! The best part about it was that she had both Grandma and Grandpa Eynon and Grandma and Grandpa Heiselbetz there to watch her. That made it extra special. Aunt Konni was also there to support her! We are so proud of all your hard work and dedication Hailee! It has paid off. We are also so proud of the whole team. They came in 2nd place out of 8 teams. Now, back to the gym to train for next season!

I love the determination on her face!

School's Out! Bring it on!!

Well, it's official! Carson survived his first year of school! He is now a big, bad first grader! He was so excited this morning when he woke up. He wasn't excited however, to go to his K-garten program. He said that the songs were dorky! But it was very cute, and he sang his little heart out. I missed half of the program though, because I accidentally popped Bella's wrist out of the socket during the performance. She was trying to run away from me, so I pulled her back to me by her hand, and her arm went limp and she started freaking out! I swear I didn't like yank on her arm hard! This isn't the first time this has happened with her, so I knew right away what was wrong. She's got weird joints, or something, I don't know. It's crazy. So we were outside trying to push it back into the socket the rest of the time. Once I finally got it back into place, the program was over. Bummer.
So Excited for the last day!
Carson and his buddies Lucas and Jace
So excited to get his report card!

With his teacher Mrs. Cameron

Last night Hailee had a gymnastics banquet. It was so much fun to see all the girls dressed up fancy and out of their leotards! Hailee received some nice awards and gifts, including the "hardest worker" award which the team voted on. She had a fun year and it was a great learning experience. We're excited for another year!

Austin and Bella couldn't stand to be left out this morning with all the last day of school picture taking. So here they are. I think Austin was more excited than anyone for it to be the last day. I'm not sure if it's because he is now a Kindergartner, or just the fact that Carson will be home to torture all day long. Hmmm....probably the latter one. Poor Carson. It may be a long summer!

Cool guy

She insisted on wearing sunglasses and bringing two of Hailee's purses up to the school with us

This is what happens when mom is in the shower longer than 5 minutes

Kyle is always baffled by how quickly I can shower. Seriously, he takes FOREVER in the shower. Not me. I can get everything done in 3 minutes or so, if that. I think it has something to do with being a mom and always having someone crying, or needing you, so we have no choice but to take quick showers. I explain to Kyle that this is why my showers are so short. But I still don't think he get's it. Well Kyle, here is proof of why I have to shower in less than 5 min.......
Your daughter will get into my mascara and create a lovely unibrow for herself

Very attractive!!

Or I could find this..............

In her bathing suit with your nose hair clippers, giving herself a haircut

I also found a poopy diaper on the floor, and no Bella in sight. I didn't take a picture of that for obvious reasons! What a mess!

So there you have it Kyle. That is why I take showers in 5 min. or less!!
